Here’s the video I took of the full speech by President Bill Clinton last Tuesday night. I’ll apologize in advance for making you suffer through “Shaken Camera Syndrome” but I did the best I could considering I had nowhere to set up my tripod.

    Just a side note:

The flag behind President Clinton is from our HQ!

We volunteered its use as a backdrop. Kinda cool!

Jeff, I have heard that Bill Clinton is incredible speaker in person. He has come along way from the 88 convention when he was essentially shouted off stage.

By the way, lost in all of the giddiness of the democrats over Obama and Hillary is the fact that charismatically challenged McCain now has commanding leads over both candidates. Granted a lead in March is rather worthless, but given W’s current status, shouldn’t any democrat short of Eliot Spitzer be up by 25 points right now?

This poll only shows 4% or less- not what I would call “commanding”

Pollster.com aggregates all polls and they show Hillary up by 1 over McCain and McCain up by 1 over Obama.

Once the general starts things will change as the focus will again turn towards McCain…

Guys Guys Guys. Are you telling me that the Democrats would not expect to be up huge given the unpopularity of the Prez? You can find polls that Have McCain up 10 Points and you can find polls that show dead heats, but you cant find polls that show Hillary or Obama up by 10. I am starting to feel like McCain is the Democrats worst nightmare. Independents are going to realize the devastation Obama will do to their pocketbook and go to McCain.

Yes, Focus will turn to McCain, BUT focus will also turn to ultra liberal Obama.

    What’s your point?

I can find recent polls showing McCain down 5. I can find polls from no more than two weeks ago showing him down 12. They just don’t matter right now - hell Kelty was polling even with Henry shortly after the primary but look how that ended.

The Republicans nominated the only candidate that gave them a chance - good for them. I find it comical that you’re already playing the “my candidate is ahead in XYZ poll” card…

The Dems don’t have a candidate yet, and that Zogby poll might be an outlier, time will tell. I say wait for the post-convention polls before jumping to conclusions.

    You all miss my point.

Yes, Polls in March our meaningless for predicting a winner (Remember Mike Dukakis). I agree.

My point only is that most dems will say:

    1. Bush is most hated president of all time
    2. Bush is most dismal president since Warren G. Harding
    3. Hillary is the smartest woman in the World
    4. Obama is best and most dynamic candidate since JFK
    5. McCain is a grumpy old man; and
    6. Iraq is the worst decision in the history of the U.S. military and has about a 9 percent approval rating

Given all that, I just can imagine that Democrats would not expect, Hillary, Obama, Hillbama or any unnamed democrat to be UP in the polls right now by large McGovernesque type margins.

    Thats my only point.
