Fort Wayne Observed Posts High Performance Government Contract

You can see it for yourself. I cannot believe this is all there is to that contract. Does the city sign on to these kind of hastily drawn agreements on a regular basis? Has anyone else seen such a vague contract for $300k in services?

This is creative venture funding of a start-up at taxpayer expense disguised as a contract for services with no tangible deliverables. What a deal.

IF the contract for services was signed in 2007 and no services were received, that’s a problem. If it were for membership for a few days in 2007 at a full year’s cost, that would be a problem. IF it were for services and membership for a few days and an additional fee for 2008, that would trigger the “need for consultant” ordinance to go before city council because the aggregate would be $190,000. This is a huge conflict.

My understanding is that there is more to the contract. There is a complete list of deliverables that go with this contract….Apparently the Editor of FWOB decided to not share that.

I don’t know if this is true and just a rumor, but I just heard that the City has already paid the the $285,000 fee in two installments.
