Major News in Indiana’s 3rd District Congressional Race

Fort Wayne Observed has a post up that deserves your attention!

Per Fort Wayne Observed the DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee) has purchased $487,000 of television advertising to support Democratic candidate Michael Montagano.

You may also be interested in reading a post from our own Jeff Pruitt about his feelings that the DCCC would be supporting Michael Montagano financially.

It will be interesting to see how the Republican Party responds.

I think Republican Mark Souder will be re-elected; however, I think it will be by a very small margin.

$487k buys a lot of advertising in this district…

We also have the debates on the 23rd @ IPFW that might swing the vote to either of the three candidates.

Still voting for Larsen but Mike is a cutie and if Bill werent running Id vote for him over Souder any day of the week.

    I dont know Mike.

I think Souder may be going down. I know its hard to believe in this heavy of a GOP district, but everything is going against Souder right now.

I think Montagano (who I must be honest appears more suited for student council)is going to win this thing.

I just have a feeling that the independents are going to overwhelmingly for NOT-Souder.

The fact that the Democratic Nationals are dumping a half million really says it all.

I would have guess the Democratic National group would have conducted a pretty good polling before they committed the nearly 1/2 million dollars. They must see a victory is possible and not just a dream.

While Souder does not need to go dollar for dollar because he is a known name one has to wonder if he has the money to counter this move?

    Mike:
Sure hope you’re wrong. We need a fresh face even if he “appears more suited for student council”. It’s possible a student council member would be a pleasant change!

    John,

I hope I am wrong as well. I would like to see Larsen elected.

If not Larsen then Montagano would be ok for two years. Then I could support a small Government Republican who I would back to defeat Montagano.

I do want Souder to lose.

    Mike,

I am in the same boat as you but the troubling thing that comes to mind in the last few days is a Congress over run with Democrats. Will Obama, if elected, PUSHBACK against Nancy and crew?

Will we see ACORN be given a billion or more dollars? The Democrats tried to put that in the $700 billion BAILOUT package.

Just wondering what your thoughts are?
