Voter turnout in my part of Allen County, Indiana

I voted this morning at 9:30.  Historically the polls are slowest from 9 - 11 AM and from 1 PM - 3 PM.

I vote at Agape Church on Lima road in precinct 299.  Precinct 360 votes at Agape as well.  I waited for 35 minutes to vote and I got there at 9:30 AM.  I talked to several people there and it took some people 90 minutes to vote early this morning.

I drove by another polling place on Coldwater Road with lines out the door at 9 AM and 10:30 AM.

I have talked to two people who voted at other Allen County precincts and one waited 60 minutes to vote and the other waited 50 minutes to vote.

It looks like turnout will be high!

    Mike:

Nothing but long lines here in Bloomington. All I can say is I’m glad I had my absentee ballot.

I drove past 7 polling places in Aboite township around 11:00. All parking lots were full and the lines extended out the doors.

This is my third presidential election out here and this is easily the busiest.

Good thing there were 30,000 early and absentee ballots cast.

Here in Hamilton County, it was a 2 1/2 hour wait.

Out in Lake Township it was a 30 minute wait this morning! Easy in and out! I did enjoy the fact that the area is so Republican, there were no Obama signs! I actually have seen only 2 in the whole township for the last month.

I voted in North Fort Wayne around 8:00 a.m. Very short wait (10 min), even considering the geriatric staff manning the polls.

Reports that a SW precinct(Wildwood Park and surrounding area) had voted 95% by 5pm. This would be unheard of for this area. Not sure what it means but it is a heavily Republican precinct..Line was about 60 minutes long from opening until 7:30 am.

Lockwood - Our estimate of the 95% turnout in the precinct for Wildwood park was in error - we had been told that we had 395 registered but the correct number was over 700. We ended up at 53%. Sorry about the wrong info. - we became aware when we reached what we thought was 100%.
