Government Shutdown

It is hard for me to watch the inept posturing in Washington DC. Please understand that the last time the Federal debt (on a cash basis) actually decreased was 1957. In 1957 the debt was paid down slightly.

The Democrats and Republicans in Washington are addicted to spending and have created a debt crisis that is realistically inevitable without major and permenant changes. The Republicans and Democrats do not have a plan to fix the problem; instead they just attack each other in a continual attempt to get re-elected.

The Republicans and Democrats are having an epic battle over tiny and small spending cuts that will not have any real impact on the problem.

The Democrats were completely incompetent and in 2010 when they had strong majorities they refused to pass a budget in the first place. The Republicans are trying to attach a policy “rider” to de-fund Planned Parenthood rather than having a serious discussion about spending cuts.

The Democrats and Republicans involved in this process are all morons.

President Obama and media bias

President Obama has proved to be a completely inept President. The media absolutely hated President GW Bush and I did not much care for him myself; however, the media is largely giving President Obama a pass; consider:

The media used to report every time President Bush played golf. President Obama plays golf FAR MORE than President Bush did while President; however, that seems to not be a big deal anymore.
The media hated the fact that the Bush Administration was so secretive. That being said even though President Obama and the Democratic leadership in Congress promised a much more transparent Government; the fact of the matter is government is not more transparent under Democrats than it was under Republicans.
The media hated the fact that the US invaded Iraq and Afghanistan even though Congress over-whelmingly voted in favor of the conflicts (Including almost all Democrats I am sorry to say). President Obama promised to limit our foreign engagements however he has actually escalated the conflict in Afghanistan significantly, he has increased our unmanned drone attacks in Pakistan, and now he has decided to involve us in a civil war in Libya WITHOUT Congressional approval.

I could go on and on. President Obama is an inept President. I have no doubt that his predecessor will go down in History as a poor President; however, President Obama is going to go down in history as being as big of a bumbling fool as President Carter was…

National Democrats fail to lead

During 2009 and 2010 the Democrats controlled the White House and had strong majorities in the House and Senate. The Federal fiscal year began on October 1st, 2010.

Back on October 1st, 2010 the Democrats could have passed ANY budget they wanted to. They could have increased spending on all of their favorite programs and they could have done so without a single Republican vote.

Instead they refused to pass a budget. The recessed early and went home to campaign for the 2010 elections.

If the Federal GOvernment shuts down it is 100% the fault of the Democrats.

The Senate Democrats are the worst offenders; the Republican Huse has passed a budget and the Senate has NOT.
